THE GUARDIANS OF EXCALIBUR

PRELUDE

Revelation 12:7-17

King James Version

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

CHAPTER 1

With each crash of Michael’s mighty sword against the trident of his brother, lightning would strike and thunder would shake throughout the heavens. The battle between the Archangels, Michael and Lucifer, could be seen and felt throughout the heavens and down on the Earth below.

The battle between the brothers was started because Lucifer had grown Jealous of his fathers creation of mankind. He had accused God of loving man more than his own children, the archangels. This had angered God and in turn, God instructed his eldest child, the Archangel Michael to cast Lucifer out of heaven. Michael was to cast Lucifer down to earth to rule over Hell, the land of the damned. Thus a great battle ensued between the two brothers.

As a result of the battle in the heavens above, a persistent rain began to fall to the earth landing on the inhabitants below. It was a cold and cruel rain that whipped about in the mighty winds and stung at the cheeks of those that it fell upon. As the rain continued to fall, the water in the lakes and canals continued to rise, slowly engulfing the earth in water. Many humans believe that the rain was actually the tears of the angels, crying over the losses of their brothers and sisters. Many still believe rain is the tears of angels to this day each time that it rains on earth.

The battle between the two brothers continued on for what seemed to be an eternity with no end in sight.

Finally, with a casting blow of his sword, Michael cast out Lucifer, or as he was known in heaven, the dragon, and all of Lucifer’s followers from the heavens above. Casting them out to live forever in the lands of the earth, to walk amongst their father’s creation and be no more a threat to the heavens above. Lucifer himself, being imprisoned in the land of the damned, was forced to rule over the fiery depths of Hell for all eternity. The battle had raged on far too long and with contempt, exhaustion, rage and sadness over being made to cast out his own brother, Michael threw down his sword and watched as it fell, crashing to the earth below.

Little did the Archangel Michael know, this was only the beginning of a much larger battle to come. It would be a battle that would threaten the very existence of the earth itself.
