About Me:
My name is Matthew D. Thomson. I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and have lived in Utah my entire life. I am father to five (5) beautiful, intelligent children that mean the world to me.
I began writing in 2008 as a way of expressing myself. Later that year, I started to put together my cookbook – Anyone Can Cook which quickly took on a life of it’s own and evolved into much more that I had originally anticipated. I have now moved to writing fiction novels and finishing the few novels that I started when I first began to write. I currently have two series of books as well as my cookbook. I have written the Guardian series which is a historical fiction trilogy and I am currently writing the Robert Mason Murder Mystery Series.
My hobbies include: writing, reading, coin collecting, genealogy, metal detecting, cooking, computers, spending time with my family and geocaching.
I am a firm believer that in order to be a good writer, you must also be a good reader and I spend a large amount of my time reading. I love the feeling of holding a book in my hands and getting lost between the pages of the story.
My oldest daughter, Samantha Thomson has also published several books and has been a huge supporter of my journey as an author. I thoroughly enjoy spending every weekend with her having in depth discussions, marketing strategy meeting and writing sessions. Check out her books here.
